Chanel Liang

Hi, I'm Chanel, a UX Designer with a background in sociology.
I've always been curious about people and how they think. This curiosity led me to UX design—where I can combine my love for understanding people with my passion for creating thoughtful, human-centered experiences.

While studying sociology, I became deeply aware of how systems can unintentionally exclude people—like during a research project where I observed older adults struggling with digital interfaces due to assumptions about tech literacy. That insight stayed with me and fuels my drive to design accessible, equitable experiences. In parallel, while working at a daycare, I saw the importance of clarity, empathy, and adaptability firsthand—communicating without relying on words, structuring routines for toddlers, and supporting diverse needs daily. These real-world experiences taught me that great design isn’t just about clean visuals or smooth interactions—it’s about understanding people deeply, anticipating their needs, and building with purpose and care.

I now bring that same mindset to my UX work, combining research, empathy, and thoughtful design to build products that genuinely help people. I'm excited to keep growing in tech and collaborating with others to create tools that make a meaningful difference.

When I’m not designing, you’ll find me journaling, hanging out with friends, working out, watching movies, or listening to music.
